Ingredients
2 slices white or whole grain bread
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 slices bacon, chopped
½ head Romaine lettuce
2oz gorgonzola or blue cheese, crumbled
½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 egg
½ cup olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 canned anchovy fillets, drained
1 teaspoon prepared mustard

To make croutons, cook bread cubes in butter or margarine until
golden brown. |

Cook bacon in skillet till crisp and brown. |

Wash and dry lettuce and break it into bite-size pieces. |

| 4.
Combine lettuce with croutons, bacon, cheese, and walnuts; toss
well. |

| 5.
For dressing, gently lower egg into simmering
water and cook for 1 minute. Remove from water and crack egg
into a food processor or blender container. Add oil, lemon juice,
anchovies, and mustard. Cover and process or blend till smooth.
